From Patrickswell, County Limerick, Conor came through the Munster Rugby Academy and his rise has been nothing short of sensational. After a very brief appearance as a blood replacement in Galway, his second outing in the Munster shirt was as a 78th minute replacement against the touring Australians in November 2010. A year later he had established himself as first choice scrum-half. Since then he has become the regular starter in the Ireland number 9 shirt, scoring a try against New Zealand on the summer tour 2012.
Conor played against South Africa, Fiji and Argentina in the Autumn Internationals and had a fine Six Nations in 2013 that earned him British and Irish Lions selection. He went on to score two tries on tour and feature heavily in the 2nd and 3rd test to cement his place as a test winning Lion and a world-class scrum half. Conor has been ever present for Ireland and was an integral player in winning both the 2014 and 2015 RBS Six nations. Conor was a stand out player in the 2016 Six Nations, scoring three tries in the tournament. He won his 50th cap in the Summer Series against South Africa and is one of the first names of the team sheet. Conor scored a try and had a man of the match performance in the incredible victory against New Zealand in Chicago 2016.
